Topography of Sleep, 2025. 8.5x11” 24pg, Risograph zine. Edition of 50. Printed in Fresno, California. Process photos taken on iPhone.
I’ve been sleeping badly lately. This publication began as a way to make light of my restless sleep. Most mornings, I wake up to find my four pillows scattered in strange new positions. So, I decided to document these arrangements. These small, accidental compositions mirrored the unease of the night before. Each page translates those moments into a simple system of rectangles.
Inspired by Mierle Laderman Ukeles’ idea of Maintenance Art, I’m interested in how daily disorder can become material. How everyday repetition and mess can become a kind of art if you pay attention.

What is your tree?
What is it that calls you to stretch beyond what’s comfortable?
What is it in your life that calls you to be bigger than what you think is possible?
